I will try to update this as often as I write something new, and that way you don't need to slog back through my journal or my memories if you want to see what I've written. XD Nobody's perfect, so I sometimes forget to add-in new fics. I always tag my entries though, so you might want to use those as well. UPDATED: 03/24/10

Um… yeah. Pretty sure this is the first time my icon has been so appropriate.

I was in the basement, sorta half-listening to the TV and doing some reading when my brother flipped over to some random channel in his channel-surfing, and it was something like A&E or Discovery. I can't remember now, but the only reason I remember it in the first place is because he stayed on this channel, which is something he rarely does. Watching TV with him is like sitting on the couch and getting snippets of every single channel we get. He can never make up his mind, and some days that really pisses me off, but most of the time I'm doing something else and don't mind.

Anyway, sorry to ramble. T stayed on this channel for a bit, so words began filtering through to actually reach my brain instead of being white noise, and I heard "art" "famous" and "cheese". My head came up so fast I probably got whiplash.

It was about an "artist", and I use that term quite loosely, who spent his entire life creating works of art out of cheese. And I don't mean he sculpts figurines, or builds statues, or anything like that. No. He takes gallons upon gallons of cheese, melts it down, and filters it through something like a fire-hose, and then proceeds to spray it across all manner of objects to create "art".

T and I were both staring at the TV in disbelief, as the narrator went on and on about this guy's achievements and world renown he's gotten for his work. Here's the conversation I had with my brother.

T: … Come again?
Me: Um…
T: I think… I think he's being applauded on his artwork.
Me: What artwork?
T: Well, he… he…
Me: Did he just coat that entire house in melted cheese?
T: Looks like it. I think people are even paying him to let them watch.
Me: … You're joking.
T: Nope, listen.

We hear the narrator saying just that.

Me: … wtf, world.
T: Heck, if that's art, my stick-figures should fetch a fortune.

So, yeah. Seriously. Cheese? What gives? People are weird.

Hello, my wonderful flist!

Yes, I am aware that New Year's was a couple of days ago, but I was too busy to come 'round and post. :D So, here I am!

Firstly, I hope that you all have a wonderful 2010, and that all of your resolutions come to pass! (or that you at least make significant headway.) I'm in the middle of responding to tons of backlog in comments and posts, because I'm an exceedingly lazy person and haven't finished that yet.

Secondly, my resolutions! :D

1. Lose weight. Hopefully somewhere around twenty or thirty pounds.
2. Exercise more. Got the P-90X Exercise Workout Videos from D on my birthday, and we've yet to use them. *headdesk* In my defense, he got them for me right around the holidays, and I cannot possibly be expected to keep up with such a rigorous program around that time. I mean, really.
3. Write more. I have troves of original fic sitting on my hard drive, not posted nor completed. Also still owe several wonderful people fic from me, in a few different fandoms.
4. ACTUALLY FULFILL MY RESOLUTIONS!!

So, there we go. ;) Let's see if I'm able to keep this up! I'm just about done with replies to comments, etc. and have about an hour before TaeKwonDo tonight.

P.S. - I have a new love, and that is Sherlock Holmes. *points to icon* These two make me smile. :) Any recs on great fic avec le H/W slash would be much appreciated. :D

Argh, I HATE writer's block! >_< I have a few stories to write for people (sorry it's taking so long!) and I cannot think of what to write. I need prompts, even just for drabbles to inspire me. You wouldn't believe how much stuff I've trashed because it's not coming out right. :/ Nothing seems to work, and it's driving me crazy.

So, prompts, anyone? It can be  a word, a phrase, quote, line, question, ANYTHING! I'm hitting a brick wall, and it's not fun.

Day 7: I baked brownies today! I haven't baked in a long while, but my brothers were both feeling kinda morose today. Older brother is still looking for a job, and younger brother has just begun the job-hunt. So, I decided to try and cheer them up and I was craving sweets. They're downright mean when they're unhappy, and neither of them has any patience to speak of. *shrugs* But hey. Brownies. :D They're double-chocolate fudge brownies, with chunks of mini-Hershey Kisses and bits of milk chocolate mixed in. XD I had the hardest time not eating all of the batter. ;) Chocolate = WIN.

Happiness abounds!

Day 5: *happy sigh* Today happened like all Saturdays should. It started with me sleeping in until about noon, before spending the entire day doing absolutely nothing. I watched TV (re-runs of favorite shows, an awesome movie or two while munching on popcorn and guzzling down soda), vegged on the uber-comfortable chair that my older brother brought home from college, and never got out of my pajamas. :D It was relatively nice out and not miserably hot and muggy, so there was an amazing cross-breeze in the den (my vegging habitat). When TV failed to be a competent distraction, I pulled out my laptop and watched anime. For four hours straight. XD Then read fanfiction until dinner, rediscovering my love of older slash pairings (for me anyways. Been craving KakaIru lately, which I haven't read regularly in over a year.) and immersed myself in the wonderful world that is the internet.

All-in-all, a great day. :D

Day 3: ONE PIECE CHAPTER 552!!!!!! There is reason that One Piece absolutely owns my soul, and Oda just provided an entire chapter of reasons why! XD I'm grinning so huge right now, it's ridiculous. Ace!! LUFFY!! BACKSTORY!!!!! OMG, totally psyched. I love this anime more and more with each new chapter that comes out. I can't wait to see the episode. *hums happily*
